Key Fob Q & A
What is the key fob for? The key fob allows members to access the Fitness Center during non‑staffed hours:
- Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM–7:00 AM and 7:00 PM–9:00 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
- Sunday: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
All fobs are initially set for these hours. If you choose to upgrade to 24‑hour access, you can do so later at the Fitness Center (we will announce when upgrades are available).
Do I need a key fob? If you only visit the Fitness Center during staffed hours (Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM), you do not need a fob. If you visit outside those staffed hours, you will need a key fob.
How will guests work? Guests must visit during staffed hours and follow standard guest policies.
Who needs to complete the forms? Anyone age 18 or older on the membership who wants a fob must complete the form. For members ages 15–17, a parent or guardian must complete the form.
How do I get a fob?
- Complete the online key fob form.
- Visit the Fitness Center between 8:00 AM–4:00 PM to pick up your fob.
If you cannot make those hours, call 334‑361‑0268 and we can have it ready for pick up after 4:00 PM or at the Bradford location if specified.
When will non‑staffed hours begin? We are targeting the month of June. We will notify members by email, message, and social posts with the exact start date.
When will 24‑hour access start? We are targeting the month of June. We will announce the exact start date prior to activation.
How much does 24‑hour access cost?
- Prattville YMCA members: $10/month (covers everyone on your Prattville membership unit).
- Nationwide members: $15/month.
This fee is billed separately from your membership and will be drafted on the first of each month from the card you provide.
Who is eligible for 24‑hour access?
- Prattville YMCA members age 18 and up: eligible to sign up for 24‑hour access.
- Corporate Prattville YMCA members age 18 and up: eligible; billed the same way.
- Nationwide members: eligible if in good standing with their home branch; $15/month. We will verify membership status with the home branch weekly. If a member is no longer active at their home branch, 24‑hour access will be disabled and billing will stop.
Payment & cancellation 24‑hour access is a separate monthly draft. You may cancel at any time; cancellation will stop future drafts but will not prorate past charges. For questions about billing or to cancel, call 334‑361‑0268.
Safety & rules Members with 24‑hour access must follow all facility rules and safety guidelines. Failure to comply may result in access being revoked.
