At the Prattville YMCA, we want to help you achieve your goals. We offer something for everyone, whether it’s weight management, increasing strength, or just getting back on track. Packages include a free body fat evaluation. All personal training is held at the Fitness Center.

MEET OUR TRAINERS!

James

James is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). He specializes in training for strength, weight loss, and functional fitness. He really enjoys working with individuals that are new to the gym & want a fresh start in fitness.

James has been active his entire life. In high school, he played football and is a 20-year Veteran/Retiree of the military. While in the service, he served as a Physical Fitness Leader & was actively involved in conducting fitness assessments and helping individuals maintain physical readiness. He enjoys Crossfit-style workouts, MOSSA Power Training & Yoga.


Kristi

Kristi graduated from West Alabama with a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and a minor in psychology. Kristi owned and operated an independent gym for five years before working with the Y.

She has a heart for helping others, and she finds that her ability to empathize with her clients and all people helps her clients achieve results.


Tamara

Tamara helps real people LIFT and LIVE like a powerhouse. As a firm believer that each person has individual goals, Tillery is known for meeting her clients where they are at in their journey and empowering them with the knowledge and experience to succeed. “The strength you gain impacts your confidence outside the gym. That’s a fact,“ Tillery comments.

As a mother of four, competitive powerlifter, and wife to a Marine, she can attest to the trickle-down effect of investing in yourself. Tamera Tillery lives by her motto, ”I Care. I Coach. I Compete. I want you to live like a powerhouse.”


Leela

Leela is an ACE certified Personal Trainer as well as a Group Fitness instructor. She came from Jacksonville, North Carolina, following her husband’s separation from the Marine Corps. Leela fell in love with fitness during college and is ready to help others become more active and reach their goals with fitness. She enjoys running, sports, and fast-paced workouts.

Leela believes anytime is a good time to start becoming active! When Leela isn’t at the Y, you can find her running downtown or hanging out with her husband, little girl, and dogs.

 


Sheila

Sheila is talented and brings many years of experience to our team.  Sheila's passion is Women's Fitness, and she has turned that passion into a thriving company that over the years has trained more than 5,00, prenatal fitness specialist who provide safe exercise programs for pregnant and new moms.

When not working with women to regain their health she enjoys spending time with her husband and two grown children traveling.


Brooks

Brooks is no stranger to the Prattville YMCA, during summers in high school he worked with the YMCA as a Lifeguard. 

As an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer Brooks can teach you the elements of exercise and how to be successful in achieving your goals. Riddle Knows what it takes to stay in top physical and mental condition from his career as a Fire Fighter and Paramedic for the City.

When not working out Brooks enjoys time with his wife and two children going to different events. He also likes to flip houses as much as flipping tires.


Travis

Travis, a firefighter for over 24 years with the Prattville Fire Department and their Wellness Coordinator for 7 years, is looking forward to helping our YMCA members achieve their rehabilitation and Fitness goals.

As an Airforce Veteran Rodie would like to help military members meet their physical training needs and become duty fit. He is also very experienced in weight and condition training with knowledge to pass on to younger athletes.

When Travis is not directing the Prattville Fire Department in staying in top physical condition, he enjoys traveling with his wife Shana Rodie.  Along with travel, Travis and Shana enjoy spending time with their Children and Grandchildren; Kailey 26, Jordyn 23, Peyton 23, Kamden 21, Trevor 20.  Grandkids Rowyn 3. Scottie Rae 3 months.
