We invite you to participate in the 13th Annual YMCA Kevin Turner / Roman Harper Golf Benefit.  The tournament will again be played at the Country Club in Prattville.  Proceeds from this event will benefit the Prattville YMCA Help Coach a Child Campaign.  This campaign allows the YMCA to provide sponsorships to deserving families.  Last year the Prattville YMCA gave over $200,000 in sponsorships.

Known across the country as the “Biggest Small Town YMCA in America,” the Prattville YMCA serves over 21,000 different people in our community.  Programs that include all day pre-school, youth sports, gymnastics, aquatics, fitness and senior adults, allow the YMCA to serve everyone in our community in some way.

Growing up in Prattville, the YMCA played an important part in the lives of Kevin Turner and Roman Harper.  Although the sport of football brought them their fame, it was basketball that they most remember playing at the Prattville YMCA.  After All-State high school football careers, Kevin and Roman played their college ball at the University of Alabama.  Kevin was drafted in the third round by the New England Patriots.  He later played five years with the Philadelphia Eagles.  Roman was drafted in the second round by the New Orleans Saints.  He just completed his fourth year with the Saints.  After an injury shortened rookie season, Roman has become a major part of the Saints defense.  This year he was named All Pro, and the Saints won the Super Bowl.

Both Kevin and Roman consider it an honor and a pleasure to give back to the YMCA.  The YMCA is such an important part of the city of Prattville.  The number of lives it impacts everyday is amazing.  Come help them give back to a place that gives so much to others.
